Challenge
Multiple defects were identified across high-voltage transformer assets during routine site attendance. These included oil leaks from a 200kVA transformer LV endbox and defects affecting a 500kVA transformer requiring intrusive maintenance and gasket replacement.
The works had to be undertaken within a secure operational environment, requiring strict safety procedures, environmental controls, controlled isolations and careful management of transformer oil handling activities.
