SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATEMENT

Introduction

Modern slavery and human trafficking is a heinous crime and is a morally reprehensible act that deprives a person’s freedom and dignity for another person’s gain. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking. This is a real problem for millions of people around the world, including in many developed countries, who are being kept in various forms of slavery. Every company is at risk of being involved in this crime through its own operations or that of its supply chain.

MARCH® and any associated businesses have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and are fully committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our operation and supply chain.

Our Business and Supply Chain
It is fully understood that imported goods from outside the UK and EU are more at risk from slavery and trafficking issues. We have taken steps to ensure we vet our direct supply chain and labour agencies through questionnaires and audits. We fully expect our supply chain in turn to adopt and ensure a “one up” due diligence checks along the supply chain.

Where possible we establish long standing relationships with reputable suppliers and contractors, who themselves have suitable anti-slavery and human trafficking policies and procedures which mirror our own. We will adopt a zero tolerance policy to any supplier breaching the requirements of the Act and will take disciplinary action against anyone breaching the terms of the Act.

Our staff are encouraged to raise concerns about any issue or suspicion of modern slavery in any parts of our business or supply chains of any supplier tier at the earliest possible stage. This should be reported to their line manager or a director, as appropriate.

We aim to encourage openness and will support anyone who raises genuine concerns in good faith under this policy, even if they turn out to be mistaken. We are committed to ensuring no one suffers any detrimental treatment as a result of reporting in good faith their suspicion that modern slavery of whatever form is or may be taking place in any part of our own business or in any of our supply chains.

Detrimental treatment includes dismissal, disciplinary action, threats or other unfavourable treatment connected with raising a concern.

Our Board of Directors
This statement is supported by our Directors who support the implementation of our procedures and policies which underpin this statement including Code of Ethics Whistleblowing etc.
