Parker Energy partners with Global Tree Planting Initiative Fusion Forest
Parker Energy has become a Fusion Forest partner, joining a global tree planting initiative from Viridian Solar – a Parker Energy solar panel supply partner.
For every Clearline fusion solar panel Parker Energy fits, Viridian Solar will plant two trees. Through Viridian’s Fusion Forest, Parker Energy will be supporting a number of charitable organisations that plant native tree species to restore natural ecosystems. The aim is to reduce carbon emissions, restore habitats for wildlife and prevent soil erosion.
From Scotland to the developing world, the partnership will support the following organisations:
Eden Reforestation Projects
Eden Reforestation Projects operates in Nepal, Mozambique, Haiti, Madagascar and Indonesia. By employing local people, the charity helps reduce poverty and ensure that trees survive to maturity.
Trees for life
Trees for Life is on a mission to rewild the Scottish Highlands by enabling the restoration of the globally unique Caledonian Forest which once covered much of Scotland.
Trees for All
Trees for All is based in the Netherlands and has restored or created 32 forests, planting more than 5 million trees and shrubs in the process.
Ivan Aitken of Parker Energy said:
“We’ve worked closely with Viridian for many years, and we’re delighted to partner with them on their Fusion Forest initiative. The drive towards supplying power, light and heat from renewable sources is increasing rapidly, and solar provides a clean, renewable source. At Parker Energy we are passionate about the environment, and both solar panels and tree planting has fantastic potential to tackle the climate crisis.”
